A once-in-a-lifetime design & build experience.

Begin your professional engineering journey with NU Teams.

Through our competition-focussed student teams, you will design, build & test real-world engineering systems.

NU Teams provides an industry-authentic experience. You will work in a real engineering office and workshop space on campus. You’ll be provided the tools, equipment, budget, training and support you need to solve complex engineering problems. You’ll work in small and large teams, with like-minded, professional and motivated colleagues.

As part of NU Teams, You’ll also be introduced to Industry Partners who provide industrial experience and employment opportunities.

“I joined NU Teams for my FYP and it was the highlight of my degree. I learned technical skills above and beyond my courses and also how to work in a professional environment, preparing me for success in industry.

NU Teams helped me achieve more than I ever thought I was capable of, and make the connections to get my first engineering job. My only regret is that I didn’t join sooner!”

Gabrielle Horsnell, NU Racing Alumnus and Mechatronics Engineer at 3ME Technology

“After graduating from NU Racing in 2019, it was clear my technical and professional experiences through NU Teams were the best head-start to becoming an attractive applicant for potential employers.

Now that I’m on the other side of the interviewing table, I look for graduates that have all the experiences gained through the NU Teams program.”

Nic Rodgers, Senior Engineer at SAFEGroup Automation.
